R.I.P. Fang

Fang and Bruno were about two months old when I adopted them on February 16, 2010. On May 29, 2012, I noticed that Fang wasn’t as alert as usual and the next morning, when I looked in the wooden house he and Bruno slept in, it was quite apparent he had died during the night.

Bruno now lives alone, is active, appears healthy, and is eating well. Bruno and Fang, being very social creatures, were virtually inseperable. Gerbils need interaction with others of their kind. The problem is that they are also very territorial and introducing another gerbil to Bruno now could mean more stress than he could bear or a fight leading to the death of Bruno or the new gerbil.

R.I.P. Fang.

Welcome, Blackie
